Trip to Pennsylvania for Area Conference

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Seven Springs in Western Pennsylvania for the area conference. On the way we were able to see some beautiful sights that I have never been to. Because I love my dear Grandma Hirschi, our first stop was Hershey, Pennsylvania  where Hershey chocolate is manufactured.  I know all my Hirschi cousins will be jealous.

Next we were able to travel to the sacred sight of Gettysburg. I felt a somber spirit here and felt a great love for all those who have died defending truth and right. There is an amazing mural that is housed in a round HUGE building that depicts the battle. Wow! Garald loved chatting with Abraham Lincoln .
We were able to hike in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania . It was lovely to see our good friends frm Idaho, Ryan and Jodi Garner.
On the way home, we stopped at the sight of the crash of flight 93 on 9/11. It was a monument dedicated to truly heroic people.
On the way home, we went to Harmony Pennsylvania where Joseph Smith spent time translating the plates. Also, it was in the Susquehanna River that he and Oliver Cowdrey were baptized. They are doing a lot of construction there.

Greg and NataLee's family came for birthday dinner ,more Happy birthday Garald !

Garald's favorite birthday cake is German chocolate . Once when Nate was a baby I made it for Garald's birthday and Nate grabbed the edge and dumped it over. NataLee said I sat on the floor in a heap of tears. ( They take ALOT of time!) I then scooped it up,and we ate it. 30 second rule!!!

Garald's 60th Birthday

Garald is spending his birthday in training at Harvard and then to Topsham, Maine to teach an inservice for the stake. I am so grateful that he is my husband." Ah, the comfort , the inexpressible comfort of finding someone you feel safe. Neither to weigh actions or measure words..." He is my love , my protector, my everything. Thank you Gorgeous Garald !!

Montpelier, Vermont - Mother Nature's Flamboyant Dress

TI cannot put into words the beauty of our Heavenly Father's creations that I have experienced during the last 24 hours. I kept wishing A photographer or an artist was with me. I am neither , but I do have a reverence for my experience. We went to Montpelier, Vermont for the inservice meeting and met beautiful people. There was a lot of people in town to see the fall foliage. We had a wonderful crepe dinner, which was beautiful to look at . Here are som picture of Vermont. (Keep in mind I am not a photographer and the pix do not do the scenery justice,)

We saw covered bridges and went through the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire.

This is where  the movie "On Golden Pond" was filmed. A picture does not do it justice.
